They wish to thank all those worked so hard to launch and maintain the group until now and appreciate the opportunity to build on its past success.
These brave souls, Gary and Jack, will need all the help they can get and are open to your suggestions as to how to operate our programs as well as any other events you'd like to see happen. If you'd like to be part of an advisory committee, contact them (see above).
POTLUCK DINNERS
The dinner on August 28 at the Olive Garden was a big hit. Really good food and fun were had by the dozen men who attended. The group decided that it would continue to meet at restaurants for dinner in those months when there is no potluck scheduled.
The September event will be a dinner at Tiffany's, 755 South Telshor, on Saturday, September 25, at 6:00 PM. For those who don't know the cafe, it has bountiful Greek specialties as well as pizza and salads. Please call Jack or Gary by September 24 if you wish to attend.
In October, we will return to a potluck dinner on October 16 at the home of Chuck Anctil, 3944 Monte Lindo Court (East Mesa) at 5:00 PM which will be co-hosted by Rich Panzer and B.J. Thompson. Guests are asked to bring a dinner item (appetizer, entree or dessert) large enough to share.
Jeff Anderson will host the November potluck in his home on Saturday, November 20 at 5:00 PM, at 641 West May Avenue. Jeff asks guests to respect his wish that no one bring a pork or pork product dish to his home.
December's event will be a potluck in the home of Steve Helmreich and Guy Wolffarth, 2025 Corbett Drive. The date will be announced later.
SUNDAY LUNCH BUNCH
The next Sunday Lunch Bunch will meet at La Posta on September 12 at 1:00 PM. The lunch rotates among several restaurants selected by the group. Be sure to contact Jack Petruzzi at (620) 571-7580 or mailto: Dalpet@msn.com prior to noon on September 11 to make reservations.
